Acres of Hope is a residential program for homeless women with children up to age 10 (6th grade at entry). Located in the beautiful Sierra Foothills, Acres of Hope allows families to live onsite for up to two years as they work through various phases of the program.

The purpose of this unique faith-based program is to provide the support and resources needed to end the cycles of homelessness. The goal is that Acres of Hope will be the last program these families will ever need.

Staff and volunteers invest in residents' lives by providing:

Roseville Home Start successfully transitions homeless families with children into affordable, sustainable, permanent housing and self-reliance through a system of housing and support services that is comprehensive, flexible, accessible and accountable.

Our Mission is to provide hope to homeless families, by assisting them in their move to self-sufficiency. We provide a safe, stable, drug-free, violence-free environment for children to live with their families.

Major components of the program include transitional housing, case management, budgeting, life skills training, therapy and permanent housing placement. Families reside at Home Start for one year, then continue under Home Start's case management for an additional year upon successfully moving into their own permanent housing.

Home Start provides shelter and comprehensive services to 150-200 clients per year.

We offer four agency programs, which include Transitional Housing, Outreach, Child Development, and Transportation. Within these programs we have subprograms, which help to provide a deeper focus in the areas that need it most.

These include Slavic Women’s Health Outreach, Rapid Rehousing, housing for foster youth leaving the system, providing an emergency shelter for victims of crime, and operating a Food Closet. These programs help to strengthen each person’s life skills and allow them to receive the care and nourishment they need to reestablish and implement a healthy, productive lifestyle.

Our transitional housing program provides up to 12 months for each household in a recreational vehicle.

Everyone Matters Ministries provides:

Transitional Housing:
Through a fleet of Recreational Vehicles or RV's, we are able to provide a transitional housing environment to individuals, couples, or families to have a safe space to live for up to 12 months. We want to help them experience safety, love, and healing so they can overcome the hurdles that led to their circumstances of homelessness.

Requirements:
Each household is required to pay a small program fee, meet with a mentor/case manager, must have a part- or full-time job, and save money each month towards future housing.

Offers a transitional housing placement and support opportunity for foster youth ages 18 to 25 who are approaching emancipation or have been emancipated from the child welfare system. Provides financial assistance and Individual Learning Plan (ILP) services while also helping them achieve self-sufficiency so that they can learn life skills upon leaving the foster care system. Participants may live alone or with roommates in apartments or in single-family dwellings, with regular support provided by THP+ staff and ILP Coordinators.
