Children's System Of Care (CSOC) has a Crisis/Child Welfare Services (CWS) Report Line to meet the special needs of children and youth who may be at risk, and their families, in Placer County.

A telephone call can bring help in a crisis. For at-risk children in emergencies and crisis situations, a special 24-hour, 7-day a week, response program is available by calling Family and Children's Services: 916-872-6549 or toll free 866-293-1940.

The National Disaster Distress Helpline provides free, confidential crisis support to anyone in the United States affected by natural or human-caused disasters. The helpline operates 24/7 with multilingual support and connects callers to trained crisis counselors.

Services include:

• Offering crisis counseling for emotional distress related to disasters such as wildfires, floods, storms, pandemics, and mass violence
• Providing information on common stress responses and how disasters can affect mental health
• Sharing coping tips and mental health resources
• Referring callers to local crisis centers for ongoing support
