PRIDE Industries' youth services program helps youth with disabilities and those exiting foster care prepare for an independent adult life. These youth are often already at a disadvantage, and through this program, PRIDE provides individualized services and a mentoring relationship to help each individual address their unique educational and employment needs. Services include paid work experience, soft skills employment training, tutoring, employment placement assistance, and job coaching.

Placer County Substance Abuse Prevention & Services aims to prevent substance abuse and its related consequences by empowering community, families and individuals to adopt healthy behaviors. Placer County partners with community-based organizations, businesses, parents, and lay citizens to:

  • Access community conditions and norms that contribute to onset of alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Work collaboratively identifying the best strategies to reduce substance abuse.
  • Partner in implementation and evaluation.
  • Provide prevention information to individuals and organizations.
  • Engage the community, both youth and adults, in substance abuse prevention efforts.
