Tasty Thursday Farmers Market is a year around weekly market hosted at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley, California. There are a variety of vendors with an assortment of produce, edibles, and other products.

SUMMER
Tasty Thursday SUMMER Farmers Market vendors set up in the area under the covered solar array just off the main parking lot.
Summer hours are Thursdays from 9am-1pm.

WINTER
During the WINTER months on rainy days the vendors move indoors to the Buttermaker’s Cottage where it is cozy and warm and on sunny days can be found on the main parking lot.
Winter hours are Thursdays from 10am-2pm.

This market does not accept EBT or Market Match. A couple of vendors do take WIC.

Placer County Food Bank's Feed Our Future program provides food assistance. Feed Our Future reaches out to food insecure children, rural communities and more. Under this umbrella, services that are offered include:

  • Backpack program
    • Roseville City, Western Placer, and Auburn School Districts
    • For children who live in food insecure households, meaning they do not know with certainty where their next meal will come from. Denios Farmers Market offers low-cost fresh produce. Denios accepts SNAP/CalFresh EBT cards, shoppers can really stretch EBT dollars and purchase affordable, healthy food for their families.

The weekend produce market covers 70,000 square feet, so there are many choices. The Friday market is smaller, but still include a large variety of produce. The EBT program at the market is run on a token system for ease of guests and vendors. The EBT office is centrally located in produce for the ease of the guests.
