Family Resource Center Services

Case Management

• Family Resource Center ​(FRC) staff provide advocacy, goal setting, and wellness recommendations to clients in need of support managing a difficult family situation. The majority of clients in need are referred to Lighthouse by social workers, probation officers, or other community-based organizations.

CapCity Legal offers legal and mediation services with a focus on supporting people navigating complex family law and immigration matters. 

The practice also facilitates alternative dispute resolution for environmental, workplace, and family conflicts.

• Mediation for family, employment, and environmental disputes

Sierra Community House offers Mediation and Legal Assistance which provides free and reduced cost legal services in a clinic setting for civil legal matters. All services are available in multiple languages and available on a sliding scale.

Training includes job-site experience, classroom instruction, and life-skills development to support transition into union apprenticeships or the construction workforce.

Program details include:

• Training in over 22 construction trades
• Classroom instruction in math, blueprint reading, and construction safety
• Assistance with GED preparation
• Life skills instruction
• Placement into union apprenticeships or construction careers
• Partnerships with schools, probation departments, and county education offices
