The Nevada County Veterinary Disaster Response Team (NCVDRT) consists of volunteers who help with animal evacuation. Volunteers are trained in advance.

In the event of disasters and emergencies, the Animal Control department of the Nevada County Sheriff's Office oversees animal evacuation.
