Everyone Matters Ministries (EMM) provides transitional housing for individuals, couples, and families through a fleet of recreational vehicles (RVs), with stays of up to 12 months.

Services include:

• A safe living space in an RV for up to 12 months
• Financial literacy support
• Employment readiness assistance
• Weekly food boxes (see Food Ministry below)

Food Ministry:

EMM partners with Feeding The Foothills to provide large boxes of food every Friday to each household in the program, helping offset grocery costs. Volunteers deliver boxes directly to each home.

Additional Information:

RVs are placed in local RV parks, and applicants must meet park income requirements (typically 2x the rent). Average space rent is around $800 per month but may vary by location.

CalWORKs & Employment Services acts as a part of Human Services, one of six Divisions of County of Placer Health & Human Services.

If you are an adult with dependent children, you may be eligible for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids, or CalWORKs. CalWORKs provides:

• Child care, work expense assistance, transportation, and counseling
• Education, employment and training programs through Employment Services
• Families with children financial assistance to meet their basic needs
• Support for families moving toward self-sufficiency

If you are eligible for CalWORKs you will automatically qualify for Medi-Cal and may also qualify for CalFresh. Transition Partnership Program (TPP) is a collaborative effort between the Placer County Office of Education and the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), serving students with disabilities and other impediments to employment. Through the program, participants develop important knowledge and skills to gain work.

• Attend high school in Placer County
• Age 16-21
• Barrier to employment (i.e., IEP, 504 plan, mental health diagnosis, physical disability, etc.)
