CalWORKS provides temporary cash assistance and employment services to eligible low-income families with children. CalWORKs helps participants meet basic needs while supporting a path to self-sufficiency through job training, employment services, and supportive services such as childcare and transportation.

Services provided:

• Monthly cash assistance
• Welfare-to-Work employment services
• Job training and job search assistance
• Childcare assistance
• Transportation support (as related to employment)
• Case management
