The Sierra-Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency has designated Tahoe Forest Hospital as a Level III Trauma Center. This means our emergency medicine team has consistently demonstrated their ability to provide advanced trauma life support, evaluation, stabilization, and diagnostic services. Additionally, it allows our team to prioritize severely injured patients throughout their entire course of stay.
Emergency care available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Visit an emergency room if you experience a life-threatening injury or illness, including fever in a newborn less than 3 months old. Truckee Fire Protection District has 8 locations to serve the community:  

STATION 91
10049 Donner Pass Road  
Station 91 is where you can locate the Administration office, Fire Prevention bureau, and the Wildfire Prevention division.
Main access to the offices are through the door facing Donner Pass Road at the front of the station and up the center staircase. Here you will find the offices of the Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, Division Chiefs, Public Information Officer, Wildfire Prevention, and Administrative staff.
Open Mon-Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm (excluding holidays). Closed from 12pm-1pm for lunch.

STATION 92
11473 Donner Pass Road
Station 92 is the "main station", located in the center of the Fire District. This station houses the Office of the Battalion Chief and is staffed on a full-time basis by a Fire Captain and three Firefighter/Paramedics.

EVACUATION TAGS - NCSO

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office provides free “EVACUATED” tags for residents to place in a highly visible place such as a door, reflective address sign, mailbox, fence, or gate as they evacuate their residence during an emergency. These tags will help first responders swiftly identify which homes have been evacuated so they can focus their attention on those who still need help and decrease overall evacuation times. 

It is a complement to, not a replacement of other best practices, like having a go bag ready, being familiar with the Hi-Lo evacuation siren, and knowing evacuation routes.

It is understood that some residents may be apprehensive to place a sign like this in front of their homes, believing it could invite criminal activity. The Sheriff’s Office, which oversees evacuations, assures all concerned residents that once an area is evacuated law enforcement will minimize access to those areas. The Peardale-Chicago Park Fire Protection District, Station 57 provides fire suppression services, emergency medical response and public assistance from stations in Chicago Park and Peardale.

Serves the communities of Peardale, Chicago Park and You Bet/Red Dog. Emergency services are also provided to three campgrounds on Rollins Lake: Orchard Springs, Greenhorn and Peninsula.
