The Achieve Tahoe Program Center is located at Alpine Meadows Resort in the North Lake Tahoe area of Northern California.

ADAPTIVE SKI AND SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTION FOR ALL ABILITIES
Achieve Tahoe is open daily for lessons from December 1st through April 28th (conditions permitting). They are a member school of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Their PSIA-certified instructors and trained volunteers make skiing or snowboarding possible for anyone with physical, sensory, or intellectual disabilities.

ADAPTIVE SUMMER SPORTS: A variety of summer sports are available in the Tahoe and Sacramento areas, such as water skiing, paddle sports, and sailing.

MILITARY ADAPTIVE SPORTS CAMPS: Achieve Tahoe conducts a winter and summer sports camp for military service members disabled during active duty.

The UC Davis Alzheimer's Disease Center (ADC) is a clinic specializing in dementia evaluations and research.

We provide a diagnostic work-up for those who are experiencing significant memory problems.

Persons who come to the ADC clinic are often seen by a team of health professionals:
- Behavioral neurologist or geriatric psychiatrist
- Neuropsychologist
- Social worker

Appointments are scheduled after we receive a completed health questionnaire about the patient and copies of medical records about the patient's past visits to doctors, clinics of hospitals. Diagnostic results and recommendations for patient care and caregiving are presented to the family after all laboratory and clinical information is obtained, the patient evaluated, and the team has had a chance to discuss the patient's results in a case conference.

Warmline Family Resource Center is staffed by parents who share the experience of raising a child with developmental delays, disabilities, or special needs. WarmLine:
  • Connects parents with other parents through family events and parent support activities
  • Promotes child development and parent/child interaction by sponsoring play groups
  • Encourages inclusion of all children in the community and appreciation of their unique value
  • Informs parents about systems and services which support children with special needs
  • Provides trainings to promote parents' awareness of how to support child development and understanding of their child's special needs
  • Empowers parents to develop leadership skills which help them to be active participants in their child's programs and services. Parents are their child's best advocates.
  • Offers the opportunity for parent to talk with another parent who is sensitive to their issues and concerns.
There is no charge and no referral needed.
