The Nevada County Historical Society Firehouse No. 1 Museum provides opportunity for visitors to the Historic Firehouse No. 1, which was completed in the Spring of 1861, and housed the Nevada Hose Company No. 1 from 1861 to 1938.
Displays historical collections from the history of early Nevada City, including the Nisenan Indians, the Donner Party, the Chinese and daily life in Nevada County, featuring wedding dresses and an ornate miniature doll house.
