The ALS Association leads the way in research, care services, public education, and public policy- giving help and hope to those facing Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

The Chapter provides local comprehensive care services, from supporting Multidisciplinary Centers of Excellence, providing grants to patients and caregivers, local & national legislative work, to the funding of global research programs. A care services team provides:

The company specializes in providing mobility services to and from dialysis and other medical appointments for individuals using wheelchairs and walkers or who are simply not able to drive themselves safely. Access in Motion provides door-to-door wheelchair service to ensure that passengers are personally escorted to their destination and safely returned home again.

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) provides lifelong support for individuals with developmental disabilities in Nevada and Placer counties.

Services include:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation
  • Early intervention for children ages 0-3 with or at risk for developmental delays
  • Genetic counseling and individual program planning
  • Case management and service coordination
  • Residential placement and follow-up services
  • Referrals and consultation for public and private agencies
  • Support for adult artists through Neighborhood Center of the Arts (NCA), including studio and gallery programs
  • Life skills and activity center programs focused on creativity, communication, and independence
