Wayfinder Family Services provides mental health, kinship, and family support services for children, youth, and caregivers in Placer County.

Programs include:

  • Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP) – Free support for relatives or close family friends caring for children. Helps maintain family connections and avoid foster care placements. Call Wayfinder directly for referral.
  • Home to Stay – Offers short-term in-home counseling and parent education for families at risk of out-of-home placement. Available by self-referral or provider referral. Call 530-722-2233 or email hometostay@wayfinderfamily.org.
  • Be WELL Program – Mental health support groups for youth ages 14–17 and transitional-aged youth (18–25). Group or individual options available. Call 530-722-2233 for details.
  • Specialty Mental Health Services – For children and youth ages 0–21. Referrals required through Placer County’s mental health access lines:

Turning Point Community Programs provide a variety of mental health services for people with psychiatric disabilities to help them achieve recovery, independence, and self-sufficiency.

Coloma Center is an intensive outpatient mental health treatment program that provides psychosocial rehabilitation and case management services for Transitional Age Youth (16-25) and adults (26+) living with serious mental illness. The goal of Coloma Center is to assist people with maintaining their highest level of independence while living safely in the community.

Referrals can be made directly to Coloma Center by calling 916-786-3750 and asking for an Assessment Coordinator.
