The Sierra Foothills AIDS Foundation (SFAF) is a community based, nonprofit organization that provides support services to people living with HIV or AIDS and their families, and provides education and prevention services to the general public, including free HIV testing.

Serves the Sierra Foothills region, including Nevada, Placer, El Dorado, and Alpine Counties.

Placer County Public Health Department (PCPHD) partners with medical care providers in the community, and the California Department of Public Health, to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases. We investigate and follow-up on reported cases and their contacts. Staff provide education to individuals and in group settings, and surveillance duties to reduce incidents and prevent additional cases.
