➢ Auburn Interfaith Food Closet | Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

  • What? Auburn Interfaith Food Closet (AIFC) is hosting its 10th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive. Families who live within AIFC’s service area can sign up online to receive one donated turkey per household. Turkeys will be distributed based on availability and are not guaranteed.
  • When?
    • Pickup: Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9am-5pm
    • Sign-up period: November 3-21, 2025
    • Recipients will be notified by Sunday, November 23 if a turkey has been reserved.
  • Where? 
    • Pickup Location: Grocery Outlet parking lot
    • 414 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603 ​(Note: Do not go to the Food Closet to pick up your turkey.)

Eligibility:

  • Must live in AIFC’s service area: Alta, Applegate, Auburn, Baxter, Blue Canyon, Bowman, Clipper Gap, Colfax, Dutch Flat, Eden Valley, Emigrant Gap, Foresthill, Gold Run, Iowa Hill, Lake of the Pines, Loomis, Meadow Vista, Michigan Bluff, Newcastle, Ophir, Penryn, Todd Valley, or Weimar
  • One sign-up per household
  • One turkey per household

Required Documents:

  • Photo ID required at pickup

Additional Notes:

  • Signing up does not guarantee a turkey; availability depends on donations
  • Do not call AIFC to confirm; staff will contact recipients directly

➢ The Salvation Army Auburn | Thanksgiving Community Meal

  • What? The Salvation Army Auburn is hosting a free dine-in Thanksgiving meal for anyone in the community. Home-delivered meals are also available for homebound residents.
    • Meal details:
      • Dine-in option: Served hot in the Sierra Building
      • Home-delivered meals: Call to request delivery by November 27th, if possible
  • When?
    • Thursday, November 28, 2025
    • Meal served from 12pm-2pm
  • Where?
  • Gold Country Fairgrounds, Sierra Building | 1273 High Street, Auburn, CA 95603

Eligibility:

  • To be eligible for meal delivery, a person must:
  • Be homebound
  • Provide a delivery address and number of meals needed

Additional notes:

  • No reservation required for dine-in guests
