The Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation raises money and provides volunteers to support the many activities of Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The Foundation offers outreach programs, community education, and support for acquiring and updating hospital equipment and facilities.

Foundation programs include

• Alzheimer's Outreach Program (AOP) - The program helps support anyone with a memory impairment (Alzheimer's disease or any other dementia), and/ or their caregiver/s. https://supportsierranevada.org/aop
• Falls Prevention Coalition - Offers information about how to assess home and other environments for things that might be risks for causing falls, such as area rugs on slippery floors and power cords across walking areas. https://supportsierranevada.org/fallspreventioncoalition

SNMH Auxiliary
Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Auxiliary members are volunteers who provide services to hospital patients, staff, and the community. SNMH Auxiliary Volunteers help in:

• Cancer / Infusion Center
• Emergency Department
• Gift Shop
• Main Lobby Desk
• Nursing Floors
• Outpatient Lobby Desk
• Assisting hospital departments with special projects and events
• Actively raiseing funds towards the purchase of patient care equipment at the hospital
